2. Off-grid (stand-alone) pv system
 Our calculation of the capacity of the pv array and the battery bank is based on the climate date of weihai where the latitude is north 37° and the longitude is east 121°. We suppose that the peak power of all the home appliances is rated power of the off-grid inverter, and the average power is half of it. The system can make all these home appliances to run for 5 successive rainy days, 5 hour per day. Based on this assumption, we get:
